Or at least back to using a needle and thread. I had planned to post just about quilting originally on this blog. But I really like prim decorating, too. And then again, I just love being out in the yard and garden (in the spring and fall when the humidity is low...LOL). But it seems I have gotten away from any quilt posting. But then again, it is MY blog and I can do what I want.
Okay, enough rambling. I have been working on some things. I am caught up with Gail Pan Christmas Wish blocks. Her 7th one should come out on Tuesday.
I had worked on them in the car during the Texas trip. Anyone that is working on them will notice that "Believe" is missing some stitches. I have decided to do something different but need to wait until the entire quilt (or wallhanging) is put together.
I think I like the "Peace" block the best so far. I love them all but there is something about all the stitching on this one that is so sweet.
I'm starting to get an idea in my head of how I want to finish this. I'll wait and see Gail's finish first but I'm getting ideas.......!
Blessings, Cathi

I see this all over blogland and tell me Cathi, think I'll be kicking myself for not participating? Hmmm.... I sure do like what I'm seeing and now you have me curious as to what you are finishing on the Believe block.
I just pulled all mine out to trace them and attempt to get caught up. Just can't seem to decide on 'the' background fabric. What are you using? I've been very remiss in doing them. They are so sweet and definitely must dos.
They look very nice and I am looking forward to seeing your ideas for finishing them. I think one of the things I love about these blocks is the positive sentiments they bring to mind.
Your background is a good one; I'm using white. This is one of the best BOM's I've seen. I'm two blocks behind, and I promised myself I'd keep up. I'm looking forward to seeing your finished Believe block.
They look great! I put the sashing around the first two then knew I had to wait until I saw what the quilt looked like before going ahead. I am doing the last two this weekend!
Cathi, I love your blocks. I've really gotta get started doing these. Are you using muslin for your background?? I like whatever it is.
I love the way these blocks are turning out. It will make a nice Christmas wall hanging. Look forward to see how you finish them.
