If one of my kids came up to me and said. "I'm going to spend the night with someone I have met over the internet !", I would have absolutely refused to let them go. But that's just what I did last week when I went to visit Mary at Quilt Hollow !
Yes, I look tired. This picture is as I was leaving after 2 days and 2 nights of talking, talking, shopping, more talking and sewing!
We spent Friday shopping at the Liberty Antique Show. It was fantastic. Lots of antique quilts . . .
We both found lots of goodies . . . . too many to take pictures of . . . . . mostly I just added to my already full collections of old cheese graters, Dear Hubby's German beer steins, and white enamel coffee pots with red trim.
Mary was a wonderful hostess . . . . we had the best time talking. And quilts all over the house that I would love to have taken home. I just took pictures instead.
Thanks for a great weekend, Mary!
Blessings, Cathi

That's funny, yes for the most part we should not spend the night at an internet friends house. Good advice. But I think Mary's is okay. I'm jealous that looks like a great antique sale to go to.
What beautiful quilts. That is what happens when you visit you talk all night. Hope you get rested soon.
Oh, I can top you on this one. I drove all the way to Texas to attend a 4 day retreat with ladies I had only met over the internet. It was great fun though and a memory I will keep forever, as well as come good friends that I am so glad I had the chance to meet in person. I must admit to shedding a few tears when it was time to come home.
The antique show looks wonderful. Fred and I have stumbled across some of those in our travels and its always a fun surprise.
Have to laugh at the word verification I got this time on your blog - its "hotful", just a funny word.
How cool, I have met Mary at a quilt show. It looks like a great time was spent with her.
That's funny. I remember when Carol of brownquilts came to stay with me a couple years ago. My husband and sons were like..........."she could be a mass murderer." I said nah, she's not. lolol But if they would have done that I would have said NO WAY!!!! I guess it's the old, do as I say not as I do?? lolol
Glad you had a good time!!!
You lucky dog! I don't think I could have slept a minute at her house; I would have been busy soaking in all the cuteness. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
I've had that same 'are you crazy? she could be an axe murder' reaction . . . . but aren't we all glad that's not what happens. You gals must have had the best time *s*
I never would have let anyone in my family do that either... bloggers/quilters are different, though... I can imagine my parents reaction to this sort of plan, too! ;) It looks like you had a great visit.
Hi Cathi
Just popping by to say hi and catch-up a bit. Sounds like you had a blast. Hope that all is well.
Thanks for all you good thoughts this week, I really appreciated them.
