Yes, I finally finished the HoHoHo quilt. Missed the Charming Girls December 31st deadline but I don't care, I finished it!
I am so pleased with how it came out. I even tried my hand at meandering quilting. Some of the loops are more jagged than loopy. I drank coffee while I was quilting. Next time, a bottle of wine! It's not the best job but I think it went pretty well for my first time. Like Mary said, I just have to use the dreaded "P" word.......practice, practice, practice. That was the first comment Mary had left for me over a year ago when I was posting about being a topmaker, not a quiltmaker.
It's been washed.....the RED didn't RUN..... and added the finishing touches of buttons.
I have a big, open wall in the dining room that would be perfect for this to live during the holidays. It may have to live there for a few months just so I can enjoy it.
Blessings, Cathi

Happy New Year! How wonderful your quilt turned out. What a cute santa. Yes I think you should leave it out for a while so that you can enjoy it.
No Cathi you did not miss the CG deadline. I will only be making the draw on Monday so your name is in. Your quilt is beautiful!
Good Luck!
It is just fantastic! I LOVE it!
Yeah for the finish. I have always loved that quilt. You really must keep it out longer than just Christmas - it's too good to put away *S*
It's wonderful! Just think you already have a finish for 2010!!!
This is a darling quilt and congrats on getting it done. I'd leave it up for a bit so you can enjoy all your hard work. You've probably said it before - but where does one find this pattern :).
Happy New Year - Karen
Oh, it turned out beautiful Cathi. Have a wonderful New Year!
Blessings,
Marcia
That's a great quilt!
Well, I would go ahead and hang it for the winter. It is so cute and you did a fantastic job.
Beautiful quilt! Definitely leave it out for awhile. Congrats on getting it completed!
The quilt finish is just wonderful! My kind of quilt.
I don't do my best work at machine quilting but things do get better with practice. I don't think it will ever be something I am really good at.
Your quilt is so nice, love the Santa. Congrats on being a winner in the CGQC drawing. Next Christmas this will be so nice to have on your wall.
Love your quilt, and the Santa block is perfect! I would hate to put it away too!
