Let me tell you how average - middle class - normal I must be. I've just received notice for jury duty ......
For the 16th time in 25 years. Yes, 16 times. I mean, how average can one person be?
Now I don't know how the rest of the country works, but in South Carolina you can be released from serving if you have served less than 3 years prior. You can serve more often if you would like. But that rule only applies to a single court. You can be called to as many different courts as there are courts for.
So far, I have been called to just about every one including Federal District court. I even served on a jury for a Federal trial. Now I haven't served on every one . . . .just called. Some of them I was dismissed from for one reason or another. Still . . . . my name keeps coming up. Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket!

I haven't been called in years - decades, but I used to be called quite often, but never sat on a jury.
I think you even beat me. Here in California where I live they can call you once every 12 months, forever, as far as I know. I have probably been called at least a dozen times over the past 25 years, I remember even sitting in the jury assembly room for 10 days waiting while I was pregnant! I like to chalk it up to not being average but being unlucky! I hate jury duty.
I am called every 3years to the day, OH BOY, what's a woman to do!

Wow girl, how do you get so lucky? Lol! I want to say I haven't been called in years, but I'm afraid if I do, I will be getting a letter soon, lol. Oh how I really hate jury duty. I've never heard of anyone getting called so many times... yes, you should buy a lottery ticket, haha!
wow, that is a lot of times to be called. I think I have been called 4 times in my life time.
