I'm finished with flannel.....

Dear Hubby's flannel quilt top is finally together.  It was a struggle.  No points match.  It shifted a lot.  I pinned a lot.  And it's finished.  It's the last quilt I plan on making out of flannel.

Except for the quilting .....but that's for another day.

Blessings, Cathi

I have a few flannel quilts. They are the softest and warmest quilts to cuddle up with.

Your quilt is beautiful! I bought a kit for a flannel quilt last summer but I haven't started it yet. I've not sewn with flannel before so it ought to be an adventure! :0)

I've never made a quilt from Flannel.

I have to say the backdrop to showcase this quilt is great! What a great pattern.

Question, Cathi, with doing the quilt top in flannel, will you use batting too?

So pretty! Hmmm Hubby's quilt, correction, so handsome! I've made a few flannel quilts, and most of my quilt backs are flannel. The pattens were always simple squares so not many issues. I really like the pattern you used, what is the pattern name?

Well...bet you it will be well worth the trouble once it is quilted up and cuddled with. Flannel feels so good! Congrats on finishing your top!!

Oh, it sure is pretty. And look at the snow you have.
I wanted to let you another guild I am in is having a quilt show in 2011 in Kernersville. Here is a link to the web page. Just go to the contact us section and let them know you are interested in being a vendor at the quilt show.http://hotqg.tripod.com/
I tried to send this to your email but for some reason ever since my daughter got windows 7 the emails on the profile won't come up. I am going to see if she can help me figure out what is going on.

You would never know by the looks of it that it caused you so many problems. It is a beautiful quilt and such a great pattern. Doesn't it feel good to finish a quilt that was difficult to work with.

Brushed cottons and flannels are some of my most favorite fabrics. Try to wait on your decision until after it has been quilted - all the things that are bothering you now will just disappear, leaving you with a soft, cozy quilt that is sure to become a favorite *s*

It looks great. To have made that with flannel and have that many pieces in your blocks. That is not an easy thing to do! I hope he loves it.

I made a flannet quilt - queen size and the whole project gave me fits. But I love it now. Still, I'm with you - never again!

Ooh you have done a wonderful job !
My daughter is a quilter, sadly I've never learned, but would love to.
You are a very talented lady, it shows in your work that your heart and soul is woven into the project.

On the rare occasion I use flannel in piecing, I have to starch the bejeebers out of it, but eventually, it behaves.
