Fall, Where are you ? . . . . .

I'm all for warm weather once in a while in the fall but this is getting ridiculous.  It is the 18th day of the month and we are on Day 11 of 90° or higher here in the upstate of South Carolina.  The air-conditioning is still on.  The average high should be 82°.

We've had 0.30" of rain this month and we should be somewhere around 2.5" of rain by now.

None of this wants to make me pull out the fall decorations.  For now I'll just show some pictures of Autumn Past and dream of cooler weather.

The only seasonal food that would be good right now is a big glass of ice cold apple cider.

Maybe soon . . . . . .

Blessings, Cathi

You decorations look great. I hope to get mine out tomorrow. We just got back from Ashville - Ellen ran a half marathon - and it was nice a cool there.

Great decorations - I love them all! Did you see the 10 day forecast - not one drop of rain and in the 90's!! All my grass, plants and bushes are drying up :(

It's been cold and rainy and we've even had a tiny bit of snow! We skipped right over summer into winter. :-( I do like your decorations. I was just thinking about starting that Cheri quilt at the end. I finished the Jack Be Nimble one instead since my sister cut me a "kit" :-)

Autumn Past looks very nice. Pumpkin Angel is a cutie. Yes, it's time for comfortable weather.

I feel the same. I have only put up one pumpkin quilt but have not brought out any of my other decorations. Summer is holding on tight.

Oh we're so low on rain that when Bob mowed the grass yesterday there was a huge dust cloud. And we're getting ants and mice coming in the house looking for water!!!!!!!! It's freaking me out!!! I pulled everything out of the pantry yesterday and threw so much away - ugh!

Your fall decorations are wonderful. We are getting cold and rain, summer ended very fast. I hope some cooler days will come your way.
